▶ Watch: Capitol Stormers
Jacob Chansley – better known by his costume as QAnon shaman – is currently in prison for his role in the riots earlier this year. He faces six charges, including for violently entering the Capitol.
However, according to a psychological report from the Federal Bureau of Prisons, the man is said to suffer from schizophrenia, depression, anxiety attacks and is bipolar, which means that manic and depressive episodes alternate. His attorney, Albert Watkins, told Reuters that, according to the report, his mental state deteriorated further while he was in isolation in a prison in Alexandria, Virginia. “It was noticeable even to someone who didn’t know it,” he said.

According to Watkins, a similar diagnosis was made in 2006 when Chanceley was in the Navy. Watkins states that former President Donald Trump is responsible for Chansley’s participation in the storming of the Capitol. He even compared Trump to Adolf Hitler.
QAnon is a far-right conspiracy theory that glorifies Trump as the savior of the world and portrays the Democratic Party as satanic, pedophile, and cannibal.
Jacob Chansley is one of more than 500 suspects charged in connection with the attack on the Capitol by Trump supporters.
