April 1, 2024 – 5:00 pm – Morocco

Irish low-cost airline Ryanair has started domestic flights in Morocco. With very attractive prices, starting from 150 dirhams for a one-way ticket, Ryanair becomes the third airline operating in the Kingdom, after Royal Air Maroc and Air Arabia Maroc.

Ryanair's first domestic flights flew into Morocco on Sunday. The first flight, FR6741, took off from Marrakesh at 5:30 am and landed in Oujda at 6:30 am. The second flight, No. FR6768, took off from Marrakesh at 9:30 am and landed in Tetouan at 10:30 am.

Ryanair now flies between Oujda, Tetouan and Marrakesh. Starting in the summer, the company plans to open 11 domestic routes in Morocco, linking nine Moroccan destinations: Agadir, Errachidia, Essaouira, Fez, Marrakesh, Ouarzazate, Jeddah, Tangier and Tetouan.

Through the new routes, Ryanair wants to double the number of passengers in Morocco to more than 10 million passengers annually by 2027. In the future, the airline also wants to fly to Dakhla and Nador.

The arrival of Ryanair is good news for Moroccan tourism. Lower prices will encourage more people to take domestic trips. In addition, flights will help reduce the isolation of cities such as Ouarzazate, Essaouira and Errachidia.
