Police said the shooting took place just before 10 p.m. local time in Mobile, at Ladd Peoples Stadium on Friday. According to local channel WALA-TV, the shooting led to a chaotic scene, as spectators walked to exits and players had to lie in the stadium. “Several injuries have been reported and these victims have been taken to hospital,” the mobile police said. At least one victim sustained a “life-threatening wound”.
Mobile Police Chief Paul Breen said two of the victims were young men. Five to seven shots were also fired. Police found at least four shell casings. At least two suspects fled in a car. The police are asking for help from witnesses to identify these suspects.
