The Council approves a housing plan for education and space for indoor sports

On Tuesday 12 March during the council meeting the Council decided on the following: Integrated Housing Plan for Education, Space for Indoor Sports, Land Policy Memorandum and Strategic Purchase for Bofenweg.

An integrated residential plan for education and space for indoor sports

The community salutes. The Education and Indoor Sports Housing Plan stipulates what is needed to expand and renovate educational buildings and indoor sports spaces. The spaces are used by schools and sports clubs. The Council approved the documents. The Council was therefore also tasked with developing plans with school boards and intramural sports clubs and presenting them to the Council.

Land policy memorandum

The Council adopted the Land Policy Memorandum. Municipal land policy helps realize policy, vision and ambitions related to housing, economics, accessibility, quality of life, energy transition and sustainability. We have chosen a dynamic land policy and defined the appropriate position and role of the municipality for each case. The Council also granted the Council permission to make strategic purchases worth up to 2.5 million euros.

Strategic purchase Bovenweg

The council has provided money to purchase a plot of land at Bovenweg 74. With the purchase, the municipality is strengthening the location of the land around Het Baken primary school.
