Entrepreneurs Martin Pennens (Initium), Peter Jelinex (A&M Automobielgroep) and director Carlo Theunissen (H. Essers) have been elected as new members of the Board of Directors of VKW Limburg.
The Board of Directors of employers’ organization VKW Limburg has focused on greater renewal and dynamism by electing the three new directors. Following the previous election of Mark Warsson (Warsco Units) as President and Rosaline Vijnen (ABN Cleanroom Technology, Smartlog, FRONNT) and Wouter Otten (Velsera, Ugentec) as Vice Presidents, now Martin Pennens (Initium), Peter Golinkx (A&M) and Carlo Theunissen (H. Essers) have joined the VKW Board of Directors. They also move immediately to the management committee.
Who are the newcomers taking the leadership of the employers’ organization?
Martin Pennens (°1982) is CEO of Initium Holdings, which now includes eight companies. Companies active in the fields of automation (Seculux/Entrya in Lanklare and GMF in Genk), compressors and generators (LVC Solutions in Genk), window decoration (Decoline in Pelt), graphic design and marketing (Osence from Dilsen-Stokkem), plastics (UPlastics in Dilsen – Stokkem) and garden houses (Nowak in As). He also founded the Renardmont Investment Fund with other Limburg entrepreneurs.
Peter Golinckx (°1981) is the owner and CEO of A&M Automobielgroep, one of the three largest dealer groups in Belgium. Headquartered in Hasselt, the group has 33 subsidiaries, 10 car brands and 57 showrooms in Belgian and Dutch Limburg, Flemish Brabant and Antwerp, with capacity for 860 jobs.
Carlo Theunissen (°1980) is a commercial engineer and has completed several additional courses, including the Vlerick Business School. He serves as Chief Operating Officer (COO) of warehousing at logistics company H. Essers. The family company H.Essers is an international logistics company for sectors such as chemicals, pharmaceuticals, infrastructure and spare parts. With 1,300,000 square meters of warehouse space, a fleet of 1,440 trucks and 3,816 trailers and more than 7,500 employees spread across 88 locations and 19 countries.
