At the beginning of last month, it turned out that the development of the RTX 3090 Ti was delayed. Despite its promise, Nvidia did not reveal any new information about the new flagship Ampere before the end of January. Pending more details about the upcoming GPU, there are a lot of rumors circulating. For example, the Chinese Chiphell forum claimed that the first models should still be available this month.
The RTX 3090 Ti is expected to have a fully-enabled GA102 GPU with 10,752 Cuda cores.
According to user Powder Sausage, Nvidia is having issues with its faster gddr6 memory (21Gbps), which reportedly needs to be replaced. This is consistent with previously published information, which refers to hardware and BIOS complications. Furthermore, a Chiphell user claims that March 29th will be the official release date and that there will be no Founders Edition.
Additionally, Nvidia will not be planning to release an RTX 3070 Ti with 16GB of vram. This storage unit has been talked about for some time now, which is said to be identical to the regular RTX 3070 Ti except for the additional memory. It is not clear why the company made this decision.
