Mark Tucker, director of game design for Fallout 76, revealed that there are still five years of internal updates planned for the game that has gotten better and better since its problematic release.
In an interview with AusGamers Tucker announced that he is working on two different road maps. One for the next three years, during which most of them were clearly defined. However, it looks further and is working on a roadmap for the next five years, although of course it is more subject to change.
Fallout 76 players will no doubt be happy to hear that the team has no plans to end support for the game anytime soon. Fallout 76 didn’t generate much enthusiasm with the release, in part due to a large number of bugs. However, in the ensuing years, the game has managed to find its place among the players after many updates.
Last month, Bethesda made Roadmap for 2022 a favour. The first planned update is the “Invaders from Beyond” event.
“The funny thing is, if I could share what’s on this other screen here, you’d love to see it because it’s a five-year roadmap that I’m working on. We have long-term plans, and things are getting a little bit more blurry as we move away because we adapt and adapt as things appear and see what the players want. And what they do.”
