“It is with great regret and sadness that we must announce that Front 242 has to postpone the upcoming concerts on 1 and 2 April 2022 at De Kreun in Kortrijk,” apparently on Facebook.” Our singer, Jean-Luc de Meyer, was taped last night. In hospital His health is worrying. We know our fans have been looking forward to this concert. We are all disappointed. Let’s keep Jean-Luc in our hearts.”
Front 242 is one of the leading Belgian teams to achieve global success. The group originated in the 1980s and is considered one of the founders of the electronic music genre (EBM). Their biggest success is probably “Headhunter”. The accompanying music video was directed by Anton Corbijn. Their song ‘Rhythm of Time’ was featured in ‘Single White Female’, starring Bridget Fonda and Jennifer Jason Lee.
