Bungie has announced that Destiny 2 will be packed with new content next year. The studio teases the arrival of the content in an update about the game’s future. The new content is codenamed “Frontiers”.

In the same broadcast, Bungie announces that Destiny 2 will receive new seasons until Frontiers arrives. These seasons are called Episodes this time, three of which will be released this year: Echo, Revenant, and Heresy. The first episode is set around Nessus and focuses on Vex. The Revenant episode introduces the potion making system and revolves around the Fallen. Heresy brings players back to Dreadnought from The Taken King expansion.
The Destiny franchise will be 11 years old in 2025. The original game was released in 2014, followed by Destiny 2 in 2017. Since then, the game has been regularly provided with new content updates. Rumors of Destiny 3’s arrival have been circulating for some time, but it appears that Bungie has chosen to keep the sequel alive for at least another year.
