The fact that he was spotted in Marbella this week at his former club Standard, immediately sparked a whole series of rumours, but fans shouldn't expect anything.
“I know Ivan very well. At that time, we were in quarantine together in China for a while and talked a lot. He is the right coach for Standard,” the former Red Devil told Het Nieuwsblad.
Today, Fellaini also explained his role as an investor in Francis Borrens, the club headed by Jorge-Louis Bouchez, where Fellaini once played as a youth player.
He added: “With my experience, I can offer something to the club, such as giving advice and talking to the players. This is how I see myself after my career: more as an advisor than a coach.
“I spoke with the directors and immediately felt good about this project. It's nice to be able to help Francis Borrens in this way.
