“What a sad and incredibly disappointing one,” he says in an Instagram video. “At first I wanted to wait for the ‘BOOS’ episode, but after seeing a number of Jeroen Rietbergen’s comments, among others, and a number of phone calls I’ve made, I know enough. I’ve decided I don’t want to go back to ‘The Voice’ anymore. It’s just a corrupt gang. I don’t want to work in a place where some men have abused their position for years. And where a conscious decision was made to keep that calm and look the other way… It’s not possible. So you really have a structural problem. This is not where I sit In it…I don’t want to be a part of that. I’d like to tell you that I’m not going back to ‘The Voice of Holland.'”

Her statement comes after much fanfare around the Dutch talent show. At least forty alleged victims had spoken to, among others, band leader Jeroen Rietbergen and rapper Ali B. Next Thursday, the Dutch television program “BOOS” will be broadcast: a revealing documentary about the inner kitchen of “The Voice Holland” will be shown. More details will be announced.

Earlier today, sponsor T-mobile also announced that it will end its collaboration with the program with immediate effect. We have decided, based on all the reports in the past 24 hours, to immediately discontinue sponsorship of The Voice Of Holland’s current programme. We do not condone any form of infringing behavior and as a company we expressly distance ourselves from such behaviour. “Once again our condolences to all concerned,” a spokesperson for the telecom operator said.

Supermarket chain Lidl, which also featured prominently, said in a statement: “We were informed today that the program has been suspended. We are awaiting further information or investigation.”
