JS Consultancy is looking for an Area Team Leader to manage and program public spaces for a municipality close to Oss. This position is 36 hours per week, effective April 1, 2024 for 7 months (with option to extend).

You make sure that your team members can do their work well and with pleasure, because all the personnel matters surrounding hiring, managing, training and developing your employees are properly arranged. The safety and health of your team comes first. You also make sure the mission and vision of the organization and department are communicated and protected.
You are one of the District Team Leaders for the District Management and Supervision Office within the Administration and Programming Department. In cooperation with team coordinators, supervisors and executive staff in your team, you ensure good management of the public space in your area and follow up on reports from residents. As part of the management team, you are responsible for the results and development of the department alongside the Head of Department, another Area Team Leader and four other managers.

What You Will Do:* You will lead your area team of approximately twenty employees, consisting of team coordinators, supervisors and executive colleagues. Completes personnel policy and conducts advancement interviews, appraisals, and training; * You ensure that processes are running optimally and are the point of contact for your team members in the event of personal or work-related issues. You also organize team development presentations, both generally and on specific topics such as behavior or communication. * You work closely with your three team coordinators to achieve optimal coordination of staff support and objective management. Together you manage changes, such as developing professional specialists into well-rounded employees; *You ensure that your team can develop in an atmosphere of peace, stability and security. You actively protect work procedures, instructions and improve procedures that contribute to the safety and health of your employees; * As a member of the department management team, you drive the optimal development of the entire department and the shared services surrounding public space management. In cooperation with other area team leaders and managers from other departments, you can enhance cooperation between teams and mutual coordination of work methods.

Work requirements
*You have completed the HBO study;
*You have at least 3 years of experience as a manager in municipal government;
* You have experience in the field of public space management * You have experience in managing, training and developing a team of executive staff and in (supervising) change processes.

This is a temporary position, effective April 1, 2024 for a period of 7 months (with option to extend). The required commitment is 36 hours per week. We can deploy you on a self-employed basis (hourly rate in consultation), or on a secondment basis (employee of JS Consultancy, classification according to the client's collective labor agreement).
