The fire broke out “near the Christmas tree” on Saturday night, according to Quakertown Police. “At this point, there are signs that the Christmas tree is on fire as a result of the Christmas lights,” said Police Chief Scott McLarey.
Five family members were sleeping on the second floor when the fire broke out. Rescuers have recovered the bodies of a 41-year-old father and his two sons, aged 8 and 11. The mother and eldest son survived and suffered minor burns. Two dogs of the family were killed.
“This news is dangerous for the district and the whole of Quakertown,” the school community wrote. Donation website set up, where $ 300,000 (5 265,000) has already been raised.
“They were always smiling and positive and you can’t help but love them. The three boys, Eric and Christine, were part of the Quakertown Youth Baseball Association and spent their days and nights at the baseball courts, “the website said.
