Fatima Madrigal of the US state of California gave birth to very special twins: son Alfredo Antonio Trujillo was born at 11.45 pm in 2021. Sister Aileen Yolanda Trujillo was born fifteen minutes later, in the first minutes of 2022.

The Natividad Medical Center in Salinas announced, Sunday, that the two were born in different years.
In a press release, the mother said: “It is a crazy idea for them to be twins and have different birthdays. I was amazed and happy.”
Eileen weighed around 2.6kg after giving birth and Alfredo was 2.7kg.
Dr. Ana April Arias tells People that this is a unique situation: “One of the most memorable births of my career. It was a great pleasure to see these two births in 2021 and 2022. A great way to start the year.”
