Not even Superman! It’s rare for Oscar-nominated directors to set their sights on making superhero movies. Filmmakers in the upper echelons of Hollywood tend to shy away from such blockbuster films.
But of course that doesn’t mean that some of these big names won’t be enamored with the idea of resurrecting their favorite comic book character. So it seems right Denis Villeneuve Maybe open.
This is a bit surprising, considering he has disapproved of superhero movies in the past and has also claimed that many MARVEL titles are nothing more than “cut and paste” than others.
This comment led many to believe that Villeneuve wasn’t exactly interested in the superhero genre, but perhaps he was more than a fan of DC Comics?
The director recently spoke with Josh Horowitz from MTV News On the one superhero who would jump behind the camera for him and the answer would make many comic book fans drool over:
Batman
Villeneuve says that Batman is the only person he can identify with and that the comedian… Arkham Asylum From 1989 is one of the best stories he’s ever read, based on a fictional psychiatric hospital and a surprising exploration of The Dark Knight’s inner demons.
Fans rush into the interview and push Villeneuve to speak to the studios. They love to see it batman next-make movie with Michael Keaton (Now it’s back again).
