Derdaele+ invests $10 million in the new headquarters

Industrial construction company Derdaele+ has started groundworks for a brand new expansion and new head office in Kristalpark, Lommel. The total investment amounts to €10 million, doubling the surface area. “This is not only to keep up with our growth, but above all to increase efficiency in production. Quality and customer satisfaction remain our priority, not sales turnover,” says manager and owner Patrick Deardell.

Due to constant growth, the Derdaele+ is bursting at the seams. “In order to respond to the increasing number of quotes and continue to grow in the coming years, it is necessary to expand our construction company,” says Patrick Deardell. “That is why we have purchased a spacious 2.8-hectare plot of land in the same industrial area of ​​Lommel, next to the existing production hall and 5,500 square meter wet coating facility. It will be repurposed as a warehouse and cutting, cutting and folding department for metal parts, as well as a storage and washing area for our huge fleet.” Of machines.”

“The new Derdaele+ headquarters will also be built on an additional plot of land. The new expansion of the production hall includes a 12,000 square meter area, 10 meters high, for steel production and paintworks, and 2,500 square meters of new office space. In total, our site now covers 6 hectares The building area will exceed 28 thousand square meters, and excavation work has begun and the site will be operational by mid-2025.

The establishment of the new head office creates additional job opportunities in Derdaele+. “We are hiring 10 to 15 new employees for production, assembly and drilling,” says CEO Thomas Munens. “They end up in a dynamic and enthusiastic team that can rely on the company’s efforts to achieve optimal well-being and safety. In this way, we also facilitate ergonomic machines, tools and production lines in the new construction.”

In addition, the machinery fleet has been expanded to include 6 aerial platforms, dump trucks, cranes and trailers worth €1 million. In 2023, Derdaele+ generated sales of €33.2 million. “With this expansion of our construction company, the growth and future of our employees are guaranteed,” concludes Patrick Deardell.
