Doki Doki Literature Club Plus launches this month with new stories, music, and more

If you missed out on or want to recreate the 2017 disturbing visual novel about a fun after-school hair club, you’ll have the perfect opportunity when Doki Doki Literature Club Plus launches later this month.

As part of the IGN Expo during the IGN Summer of Gaming, Team Salvato and publisher Serenity Forge today announced the extended version of the original game. It will be released on June 30 for PC, Nintendo Switch, Xbox and PlayStation, both digitally and physically.

Doki Doki Literature Club Plus is not a DLC or expansion, but an extended version of the original game with new content. It includes new stories, improved HD graphics, more than 13 new music tracks, and more than 100 unlockable images. The game will also get a premium physical version with a soundtrack download and other stuff, which will be released later this summer.

Doki Doki Literature Club appeared in 2017 and was described by our American colleagues as one of his favorite horror games of the year. Today’s announcement may come as a pleasant surprise for fans as well, as creator Dan Salvato previously said he’s ready to move on to new projects.
