Junior Edmilson has been in Qatar for three years now, after Al Duhail came to snatch it from Standard in the summer of 2018. Since then, the winger has been linked occasionally with a return to Belgium, at Club Brugge, Antwerp or Standard. However, it never came to pass. But now the Belgian-Brazilian can still return to Europe, albeit not to our country.
The 26-year-old is said to have set his sights on returning to work in Europe, according to to 10 Olympiacos wants to take advantage of that. The Greek superpower is still looking for a pavilion and is said to have already contacted Edmilson’s administration. He already appears to be intrigued by the interest and the added thing to Olympiakos is that they have a former Edmilson teammate with Youssef Elaraby.
However, the biggest stumbling block appears to be the financial part, especially since Edmilson signed a new contract until 2024 in August last year. So a loan with a purchase option is considered. The question is whether Al Duhail wants to cooperate, but if Edmilson really wants to return to Europe, the Qataris may have no other choice.
