PropertyJust a year and a half ago, Meghan Markle, 40, and Prince Harry, 37, bought their luxury villa in Montecito, but according to a source, they will soon re-mark it ‘for sale’. The two are said to have “never stayed over the moon” with their home and location. The couple paid at least 11 million pounds (13 million euros) to the palace.
Prince Harry and his wife Megan bought the luxury property in Montecito in June 2020 from Russian businessman Sergei Grishin. The Santa Barbara County area of California is known for its remote private estates. The house was intended to be a place to raise their two children, Archie and Lilipet.
The house has nine bedrooms and sixteen bathrooms. Additionally, the property includes a gym, swimming pool, tennis court, tea café, and its own playground. There is also a library, office, spa with dry and wet sauna, cinema room, game room and arcade, wine cellar and five parking garage. The grounds have rose gardens and a separate two-bedroom, two-bathroom guest house.

Now Harry and Meghan had changed their minds. According to the source, the two are not enthusiastic about the house, despite the fact that the property comprises approximately 7.5 hectares of land and is surrounded by pine and cypress trees. “Harry and Meghan are considering selling their home there,” the source told The Sun. “In order not to give a chance to buyers with the wrong intentions, the house is only shown to people who have money and are serious buyers. So their property will not be found on real estate websites.”
According to the source, the couple is now looking for other homes. It is also open to special offers. While the Sussexes are not fans of their current home, they do want to stay close to them. They love Montecito itself, the home of Oprah Winfrey and Ellen DeGeneres and Hollywood stars like Tom Cruise and Katy Perry. “They want to stay in the area but are not happy with the house and the location.”
