A gang of thieves is ravaging New York City. Criminals always target victims' cell phones. In this way, they try to access their banking details via a hacker. The woman shown in the video below was also a victim of such a gang. Thieves on a motorbike tried to take her handbag, but they dragged the 62-year-old along the sidewalk.
The New York Police arrested a number of suspects in early February after a series of robberies in the American city. According to police, the suspects are said to be part of a larger criminal gang with an immigrant background. “These individuals do not represent the large group of people who come to New York to build a better life here,” officers warned.
One of the victims was 62-year-old Irina Panteleeva from Brooklyn. While she was walking at the end of December, she was suddenly dragged by two thieves on a motorcycle. They grabbed her handbag and dragged the woman several meters along the sidewalk. She crashed into a bike rack and lay motionless. Panteleeva suffered some bruises, but lost her mobile phone, among other things.
