The United States plans to establish a peacekeeping force in Gaza after the end of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, with the participation of several Arab countries, including Morocco, Egypt, and the United Arab Emirates. This peacekeeping force is composed exclusively of Arab countries and aims to guide the transition process until the Palestinians establish their own security services in Gaza.

According to the British newspaper Financial Times US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken held talks with these countries, which expressed their willingness to contribute to maintaining peace in the region. However, these countries will require that the United States first recognize Palestinian statehood.

Arab countries are also pressuring the United States and other Western countries to pressure Israel to take “irreversible steps” toward peace. They demand that the administration of Gaza be transferred to a “reform” Palestinian leadership that governs Gaza, the occupied West Bank, and East Jerusalem.

But the American initiative does not enjoy the support of all Arab countries. For example, Saudi Arabia did not join, for fear of being accused of collusion with Israel or having to intervene militarily after a potential Hamas uprising.
