A one-off bistro, the Rock Werchter organization “Encore” announced. The festival will take place on that day on Sunday, June 26th. The first address is also immediately known.
Werchter had previously indicated that he was aiming for an additional day of celebration this year, but there was no further information. Until now. On Sunday, June 26, the Rock Werchter Encore will take place at the Festival Park of Werchter. The first name is already known: Florence + The Machine is the headline. The full lineup will be announced later. There will also be two stages: the main stage and the hangar. The premiere starts at 4pm, and the grounds open half an hour earlier.
“It’s been fairly quiet in Festival Park for the past two summers,” organizer Hermann Scheuermanns said. “The hunger to experience festivals again is great. For example, both the Rock Werchter and the Werchter Boutique are sold out sooner than ever. The impulse to explode is real. That is why we are offering this one-time extra day to celebrate the return of festivals.
Tickets for today’s festival go on sale from Thursday 14th April at 10am via Ticketmaster.be. Its cost is 94 euros (including service costs and transportation contribution). Those who already have a ticket to the Rock Werchter will receive a €10 discount for the Encore. They will soon receive an email with more information.
It promises to be a busy summer. On Sunday, June 19, there will be Werchter Boutique with Stromae and Gorillaz. On Saturday, June 25 there will be a TW Classic with Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds among others. On Sunday 26th June there will be Rock Werchter Encore. And from June 30 to July 3 there is Rock Werchter himself. TW Classic tickets are still available.
