Van Aert sells the top three wins as NFTs

Wout van Aert will sell his three biggest wins as NFTs (a non-fungible token). An NFT is a non-interchangeable digital file that acts as a unique proof of ownership of a unique virtual object. In the case of Van Aert, it is about two victories in the last Tour de France, over Mont Ventoux and Champs-Elysées, and his victory at the Strade Bianche. Auctions for all three items will be conducted through OpenSea and will remain open until 9pm on November 16. “It’s really great being able to use this growing technology to share these moments with my fans. I hope the new owners will enjoy it as much as I did,” said Van Aert.

Prices for NFTs can run into the millions. For example, artist Beeple sold his digital collection “Everydays: the First 5000 Days” for at least 58 million euros. Wait and see how much Van Aert wins.
