It’s about Temuera Morrison, who played Jango Fett in previous films and appears on Disney+ as his son Boba. During a panel discussion at FAN EXPO in Chicago, he talked about the new film.
“To be honest, I’m still waiting for the call.” Morrison says. “I think we’ll put it on the shelf for a while. Maybe we’ll take it off the shelf later.”

Morrison got his own spin-off series with the Boba Fett book, but it was poorly received by fans. It’s possible that Jon Favreau, who will direct the new film, doesn’t want to continue Boba’s story.
The Mandalorian and Grogu are heading to the big screen.
Directed by Jon Favreau and produced by Favreau, Kathleen Kennedy, and Dave Filoni, The Mandalorian & Grogu will enter production later this year.
