The Red Panthers recorded their fourth straight win in the Pro Hockey League. The Belgian hockey women fell behind early against the United States, but reversed the situation with fifteen minutes to go.
5 minutes later, Linnea Gonzalez gave the USA the lead. A cold shower for the Red Panthers.
Abhi Ray provided the Belgian response. With ten minutes to go, the score was level again.
Ambre Ballenghien made it 2-1 after 5 minutes and the Panthers took control of the match after that.
Earlier this week, the European vice-champions had already beaten the USA 5-1. It then defeated India twice (2-0 and 1-2). With four wins and 12 points, coach Raul Ehren’s team is currently in fifth place.
Next week the Panthers will play four more home games in Antwerp, one each against China and Australia. At the end of June, the hockey women will travel to the Netherlands for the finals of the Pro League, with two matches against the host country and two against Great Britain.
