celebritiesA large group of people who work for the infamous Lizzo are defending the singer. A total of eighteen employees working for her tour company dispute the accusations against her in lengthy statements. Variety reported this based on court documents filed on Friday.
Lizzo’s lawyers are asking the judge, based on the statements, to dismiss the case against the singer. They think it’s just based on a “made-up sad story.” The women in question, who are accusing Lizzo of sexual harassment and discrimination, among other things, are said to have done so “out of spite, seeking media attention.”
Lawyers also believe the alleged victims are just after money. In addition, they had not acted professionally. The three women are said to have missed flights, arrived late, showed up to rehearsals, or even been drunk at the shows.
The accusations against Lizzo surfaced last summer. The 35-year-old American is being sued by three former dancers for sexual misconduct and creating a hostile work environment. She is also said to have forced someone to touch a naked model at the Amsterdam Banana Bar. The singer has always denied these allegations.
