Turkish Mega Bridge Voted World’s Best Bridge – Turkish Media

Turkish Mega Bridge 1915-Çanakkale has been selected as the best highway and bridge project by the International Society of Bridge and Structural Engineering (IABSE).

It was formally announced during the IABSE 2023 Program and Technology Awards in Zurich.

A jury of fourteen experts evaluated more than forty global projects from countries as diverse as China, New Zealand, Hungary, Denmark, Qatar, India and the Philippines. The Turkish mega bridge won first place among the participating projects from China, Philippines and Botswana.

1915 Çanakkale Bridge is the longest suspension bridge in the world and is considered “the sister structure of San Francisco’s Golden Gate Bridge and the new symbol of the region”. The Turkish Mega Bridge has the world’s tallest bridge towers (334 meters) with a length of 2,023 meters.

The gift is rain

The iconic bridge in Turkey was recently awarded the World’s Best Engineering Bridge Project by Engineering News-Record (ENR), a leading publication in the engineering world. 1915 Çanakkale Bridge has won a total of 24 national and international awards to date and has been crowned the best bridge in Europe.
