Star Wars: Rangers of the New Republic has been canceled and we’re now hearing from Kathleen Kennedy.
Less than two months after the announcement Star Wars: Rangers of the New Republic Gina Carano has been fired from her contract with Lucasfilm. She is no longer involved in any Lucasfilm projects, due to the posts she made on social media that were highly criticized by fans. At the time, the separating consequences for the series were not announced. But those consequences have now been announced.

During an interview with Empire Magazine, Kennedy said: “We didn’t write scripts for that or anything like that. Maybe some of that relates to The Mandalorian in the future.”
This isn’t surprising given the small amount of updates we’ve gotten about the project Star Wars: Rangers of the New Republic. The scattered update came in May 2021 via Variety.
