The Cheraw Arts Commission and the Carolina Metal Clay group will present a Metal Clay Meet-Up from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. this Saturday at the Cheraw Community Center, 200 Powe St.

“This is a special opportunity, and a continuation, for those who took a metal clay class with metal artist Carrie Story,” said Lindsay Bennett, executive director of the Cheraw Arts Commission. This meet-up will be about sharing experiences and learning from each other.”

No fee is required as no instruction will be provided. Participants should bring tools and supplies. However, some clay and supplies will be available for purchase.

Attendees are encouraged to bring a “show and tell” piece. Pre-registration is required to assist in planning for the meet-up.

For more information, and to register, call the Cheraw Arts Commission at 843-537-8420, extension 12.

The Cheraw Arts Commission is supported by the United Way of Chesterfield County and the S.C. Arts Commission, which receives funding from the National Endowment for the Arts.
