GENTBURG

Barber Stijn De Sutter (33) of barbershop Romain established a community center in Gentbrugge with colleagues Kenny Regniers (32) and Cedric Picha (34). At Yvonne you can organize meetings or workshops, but you can also meet with friends.

The former Bombardon Café on the corner of Vredestraat and Kliniekstraat has been converted into a multi-purpose space Iphone† The space is 75 sq.m. and seats sixteen people with a computer or twenty people without.

“It is ideal for meetings and workshops. All the digital amenities needed for a presentation are in place,” says de Sutter. Individuals can also rent a space for a drink, for example. Food can be served and there is a kitchenette in the room.

The ambition of the three barbers behind Yvonne was too great to be confined to Roman. When the building became available during the third aura wave, we immediately jumped on it. He’s also very close to Romain,” says de Sutter.

In addition to the multi-purpose room, there is also a private smokehouse with four large cigar cabinets. Workshops will be offered there only if managers are present.

The name Yvonne fits with the barber shop Romain, named after Romain Deconinck. “His wife’s name was Yvonne Delcourt.” The retro tile decor is also a nod to Roman.
