This is for Brave and Manifest V2, so it might give it a 0 as irrelevant, but the extensions mentioned that are still supported can still be put into a specific category.
Brave salute! And all supported extensions, especially if they are ad blockers. Donate one, they can use it.
I’ve been absolutely sick of it for at least 10 years. Marketers and people who have studied psychology and are into marketing versus the “general public” have not had a fair fight for decades. I do everything I can to block ads, on every platform, every website, and in my entire household using Pi-hole, blockers, anti-trackers, etc.
Same thing on my mobile, which first goes home via VPN and then back out via pi slot. There are a few exceptions here and there for sites/creators I want to support, just for them, and that’s it.
It’s not fair anymore. Ads focus only on emotion and seduction, even the facts about the product are not mentioned at all in many ads. Once they release AR glasses that can block out adverts, I’ll buy those too.
Back in the day, before I was born in 1984, when condoms were still made of wood, most ads gave realistic reasons why the products were better than the competition. Now look at an ad for a car or a coffee machine, it’s all about emotion and feeling, beautiful pictures and beautiful people.
I don’t really need anyone to tell me what to get, I’ll decide for myself, and I support everything and everyone that makes it possible.
