Dying Light 2 does not support cross-play at launch

Dying Light 2 will be released in the already busy month of February. There was quite a bit of talk about the upcoming survival game last week, because developer Techland revealed that we had to give up in about 500 hours to complete the game, shortly after It was pretty accurate. If you are already planning to spend many hours in Dying Light 2, you will unfortunately have to do it alone or with two players on the same platform, as the game does not support cross-play functionality at launch.

Developer Techland announced this at broadcast live held last Thursday evening. On Twitch Stream, the developers answer several questions from the community, and when asked if Dying Light 2 will support cross-play from day one, they unfortunately had to temper our expectations:

“No, not at this moment; it will not be available.”

It doesn’t stop there, because in addition to cross-play, Dying Light 2 also does not support cross-generation functionality. Everyone who was hoping to play with their friend on an old console, comes home from a cold gallery. Fortunately, there is also good news, because if you and your friends have the same console, it is possible to go through the game’s story with up to 4 players. Just make sure you agree with the administrator, because whoever hosts the game ultimately gets the final verdict on all decisions that affect the story. So, do not argue people!
