Lommel scores his second win of the season against Lierse
On the fifth day of playing in the 1B Pro League, Lommel and Lierse faced each other. Lommel won the match 3-1 and is now level with Lierse in the standings.
Lommel got off to a very good start. Laurent Lemoine headed a corner kick in the first minute. In the second half, Arno Veschueren doubled the score in an acrobatic fashion on the advice of Caio Roque. Lommel continued to press and Isaac Talal Boussouf completed the procedure, which he prepared from his own half. Lierse did not give up, however, and Guillaume de Schrievre took advantage of a blunder in Lommel’s defense to keep his team’s hopes alive, but the end result remained 3-1.
In the standings, Lommel is in fifth place with 7 points, along with Lierce, who have a better goal difference.
Wolfsburg plays with three Belgians at the base, with a draw with Frankfurt
Wolfsburg welcomed Eintracht Frankfurt on the fifth day of the German Bundesliga. The host team stayed at 1-1 against Antwerp’s next opponent in the Europa League. In Wolfsburg there were three Belgians at the base: goalkeeper and captain Coen Castels, Sebastien Bornau and Dodi Lucbakio. Aster Vranckx was sitting on the sofa.
Lammers opened the score for Frankfurt, but Wolfsburg came back alongside him via Wieghorst. The three Belgians were on the field throughout the match, and Franks did not play. Because of the draw, Wolfsburg lost the opportunity to take the lead alone in Germany, and now he has to share that spot with Bayern Munich. Both teams have 13 points.
Jimmy Greaves has passed away at the age of 81

The striker played 57 matches for the national team and scored 44 goals. He was part of the team that became world champions in his country in 1966, although Graves only played during the group stage. Graves also played for Chelsea, AC Milan and West Ham. Last year, he was knighted by the British Royal Family for his services to English football.
