In the Chromium Gerrit code review tool, references were found to an AI function that rewrites selected scripts. This indicates that Google is working on such a feature. A similar feature is also available in Microsoft Edge browser.
Leopeva64, social media user Share a screenshot for references. The feature will be, just like similar features Microsoft Edge feature, perhaps renamed “Create”. In the beta version of Chrome Canary, a flag was also found to enable the artificial intelligence function. XDA Developers According to them, the feature was not yet working in Chrome Canary.
The feature should allow desktop users to retype specific parts of text. The tone and length of the text can be adjusted, among other things, by the AI tool. The user is likely to accept, reject, or change the AI’s suggestion.
Google is reportedly planning to bring this feature to iOS and Android. The feature should also support other languages in addition to English at a later date. It is not clear when the feature will be rolled out more widely.
