You probably already knew Kate Bush is getting hot again thanks to ‘Stranger Things’ “Running up that hill” sees a second life her presence in the series.
Metallica is now also feeling the impact of its hit series. When the second part of the season came out earlier this month, a new episode titled Master of Puppets came out. Their 1986 single “Upside Down” was played by Eddie Monson’s character (watch the video below).
Metallica has now released a statement regarding the song’s appearance on the show. Duffer Brothers method (Directors, Editor) The incorporation of music in “Stranger Things” has always been on a higher level, so we were very excited that not only did they include “Master of Puppets” in the show, they also built such a pivotal scene around it, they wrote.
“We were all eager to see the end result and when we did we were amazed. It was done so well, in fact, that some people were able to guess the number just by seeing a few seconds of Joseph Quinn’s hands in the trailer! How insanely cool?”
The band added, “It’s an incredible honor to be such a part of Eddie’s journey and to meet all the other amazing artists who have appeared on the show.” The actual guitar solo on the episode was recorded by Ty Trujillo, son of bassist Robert Trujillo of Metallica. Trujillo praised his son on Instagram, saying, “This is my son! Proud, Tay!”
1 billion hours
The final fourth season of “Stranger Things” has reached a milestone. It’s the second-ever Netflix series to cross a billion watch hours since yesterday. Since the first episode of the season aired on May 27, viewers have spent a total of 1.15 billion hours on the season’s nine episodes. And that could still be added, because the episodes are still widely watched.
It remains to be seen if Stranger Things will be able to match the other successful series “Squid Game” or not. The South Korean series is even higher, with 1.65 billion hours watched.
