The Coordination Center of the Ministry of the Environment in Espoo has received notification from the Dutch Ministry of Defense regarding the initiation of PlanMER (Concept Memorandum, Level of Detail and Participation Memorandum) procedures for the Defense Space Programme.
The security situation in the world is changing. For this reason, defense not only needs more soldiers and equipment, but also more space. For example, for barracks, warehouses, low-flying areas and training areas.
The National Defense Space Program (NPRD) provides insight into this space demand for the Netherlands, allows space applications to be considered together with other applicants and scores the outcome in terms of planning and legal terms.
