Square Enix announced Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 + 2.5 Remix, Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue, and Kingdom Hearts 3 Coming to Nintendo Switch earlier this month. This sparked controversy when people realized that all versions could be run exclusively through the cloud. However, recent data indicate that the original ports of the first group are at least taken into account.

When asked by Nintendo Live, he stated that “the original production was not created”. He went on to explain that while Cloud is currently the best way to introduce the franchise to Switch fans, the team is also “always excited to hear feedback” from its fans.
A release date has not yet been set for Switch releases for Kingdom Hearts titles.
