Thanks to Neymar, Brazil has recorded a short exhibition victory over Japan. The match in Tokyo on Monday ended 0-1 thanks to a goal from Paris Saint-Germain Attack.
With his goal, Neymar brought his total to 74 for Brazil, just three goals short of Pele’s record.
Neymar needed a penalty against Japan to score. After Richardson’s mistake, the referee pointed to the spot, after which Brazil’s star player was crowned the winner of the match in the 77th minute.
PSV player Ritchie Tone arrived fifteen minutes before the Japanese team. PEC Zwolle’s central defender Yuta Nakayama played the entire game.
Brazil already won 5-1 against South Korea last Thursday. Neymar scored twice in that match. Japan were strong 4-1 against Paraguay in last week’s exhibition match.
