“Playtime is over”: These are the new candidates for Camp Wes | television

televisionAs of Sunday, January 14, “Kamp Waes” returns with a new season. And this time playtime is already over. Tom Weiss follows how his candidates try to successfully complete a Belgian special forces training course and push the limits of their physical and mental strength. The big question remains: Who among them will survive “Camp Weiss”? These are all the brave ones who try it straight.

“From over 3,000 registrations, I ultimately selected fifteen candidates, each with their own profile,” says Tom Weiss. “The cast has become very diverse and consists of ten men and five women. The youngest candidate was only 20 years old during the tapings, while the oldest was 52. There is a weightlifter and a police officer, but also a surgeon and a world kickboxing champion. There's even a brother and sister among them. And to be honest? I was shocked at how hard the fifteen candidates threw themselves at themselves.

Preparing for the new season was also very difficult for Special Forces coach Fly. This season, everything went further than it had been three years ago: “The first season was a surprise for everyone. Primarily for the candidates – they had no idea what was coming their way – but certainly for us as well. As trained soldiers, we had no An idea of how ordinary citizens will deal with all the challenges we have in store for them. But after the first series of Camp Wes we knew that the new candidates would be better prepared. This way we can now focus and choose more on the candidates' map reading techniques and orientation skills, for example. “A particularly important part of real Special Forces training. It gave us the confidence to develop a more robust and challenging program for this new category. And that's what we did.”
