For those who aren't familiar with “Selling Sunset”: The Netflix reality series revolves around the real estate office of twins Jason and Brett Oppenheim. They sell the most expensive and luxurious villas in Los Angeles. But Jason is now accused of covering up defects in a Los Angeles home.
The buyer of a mansion in Los Angeles took him to court. The buyer claims that he had to pay $1.7 million (about 1.5 million euros) due to problems with the new property. Various water leaks in bedrooms and mold problems in the home can play a role. In addition, water damage is said to have resulted in “extensive rot damage” and “termite infestation.”
According to legal documents, “Jason was fully aware of the problems in the property, which includes six bathrooms and three bedrooms.” The new owner accuses him of “fraud and concealment” and making “deliberate misrepresentations.” That's why he's now seeking damages from the Selling Sunset star. The size of this compensation is not clear.
