Publisher Square Enix and developer Eidos Montreal have announced Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy. It is a single-player action game, which will be released on October 26 for consoles and PC. According to the makers, the game will not receive any additional content or microtransactions.
The Guardians of the Galaxy is a third-person action game created by Eidos Montreal. This is the studio that also has the latest Deus Ex and Tomb Raider games to its name. There were already rumors that the studio would be working on Guardians of the Galaxy, and publisher Square Enix has now confirmed that. Players take on the role of the character Peter Quill, also known as Star-Lord.
During the presentation of E3, Square Enix presents, an advert and an 11-minute video of the gameplay were shown. A video has also been posted online in which the developers explain the game. According to a preview from Eurogamer It is a pure single player game, does not receive any DLC and also does not contain microtransactions. Unlike Marvel’s Avengers, there is another Marvel game published by Square Enix as well.
Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy will be released on October 26th. The game will be released for the current and previous generation of PlayStation and Xbox consoles, as well as for PC.
