The Rediscover Kanto event is live and will last over two weeks!

The Rediscover Kanto event has just launched in Pokémon GO. This event is part of the live launch of a new system called Pokémon GO Biomes, which we'll be sharing more information about shortly. Here are the initial details about the event:

• The Rediscover Kanto event runs from April 22 at 7:00 PM to May 10 at 5:00 AM
• You can gain more experience points during your 7-day plan in terms of stopping and fishing points
• Friendships grow faster than usual
• There is a higher chance for Shiny Bulbasaur, Shiny Charmander, and Shiny Squirtle
• The following Pokemon gain special attacks through evolution:
  • Venusaur: Factory frenzy
  • Charger: Burning explosion
  • Blastoise: Hydro cannon
• There are special field research missions that provide:
  • Venusur Mega Energy
  • Mega Energy Charger
  • Blastoise Mega Energy
• Private search will be available to everyone
