But the singer has now completely withdrawn from the race. “While I am deeply proud and grateful, I do not feel I have any right to be in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame,” Barton said on Twitter. “The nomination inspires me to make a good rock ‘n’ roll album, something I’ve always wanted to do.”

The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is a museum in Cleveland, USA, dedicated to the history of famous rock and roll musicians. Previous finalists who landed include Chuck Berry, Elvis Presley, Stevie Wonder, Etta James, Joni Mitchell, Madonna, Janet Jackson and Jay-Z.
