It may have come as a huge surprise to fans, but Amber Heard’s greatest wish has come true. The American actress (35) can finally call herself a mother. Her daughter Una Page Heard was born on April 8 by a surrogate mother. Heard herself has been told in the past that she will not be able to give birth naturally.
“I am so excited to share this news with you. Four years ago I decided I wanted a baby. I wanted to do it on my own terms,” she wrote on Instagram on Thursday. “I now realize how radical it is for us women to think of one of the essential parts of our destiny in this way. I hope we get to a point where it is only natural not to want a bed of the ring.”
Although she partly feels that her private life does not belong to anyone, her work has forced her to share the news. “My daughter was born on April 8, 2021. Her name is Una Page Heard. It is the beginning of the rest of my life.”
A source confirms to Sixth page That the girl, named after Amber’s late mother who died in 2020, was born to a surrogate mother. “Oonagh is so beautiful and amber is over the moon. She always knew she wanted to be a mother, this is her biggest wish come true. She is so grateful for the wonderful woman who helped introduce Oonagh into her life.”
Heard is in a relationship with cinematographer Bianca Buti, whom she has been dating since January 2020. According to Sixth page Heard “made the decision some time ago to have a baby on her own.”
Heard was married to Johnny Depp five years ago, and accuses her of assaulting her. She also has a relationship with Tesla CEO Elon Musk.
