a musicianIsrael may not participate in the Eurovision Song Contest next month. The responsible radio reported on Tuesday morning that due to the strike targeting the Foreign Ministry, which had consequences for the security services, the safety of the Israeli delegation could not be guaranteed at the present time.
It was not clear whether Israel would continue the strike, withdraw completely, or participate remotely if the strike continued. The European Broadcasting Union (EBU) has yet to comment on the situation.
Israel was ranked in the second semi-final of the Eurovision Song Contest with singer Michael Ben-David. The event will take place from May 10-14 in Turin, Italy.
