Lenovo’s New Rugged Android Tablet Targets Business Users and Field Workers

Lenovo has officially launched the ThinkTab X11 in the United States, bringing a rugged Android tablet with enterprise-focused features and a removable battery to the market starting at $499.

First introduced earlier this year during Mobile World Congress 2026 in Barcelona, the ThinkTab X11 is designed primarily for business and industrial use. However, its durable design and flexible hardware may also appeal to consumers looking for a tougher alternative to traditional Android tablets.

Rugged Design Built for Workplace Environments

The Lenovo ThinkTab X11 is engineered to withstand demanding work conditions. The tablet carries an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance, helping protect it in outdoor or industrial settings where exposure to dirt and moisture is common.

When paired with Lenovo’s included rugged case, the device also meets MIL-STD-810H durability standards, a military-grade certification commonly used to evaluate resistance to drops, vibration, and extreme temperatures.

Lenovo has also equipped the tablet with several business-oriented features. A front-facing NFC reader supports workplace authentication and contactless applications, while the device can operate in a battery-free kiosk mode for fixed installations such as retail terminals, digital signage, or customer service stations.

The tablet includes two USB-C ports and ships with Lenovo’s Tab Pen XE stylus for note-taking and productivity tasks. Lenovo says the device will receive four years of software support, along with enterprise management tools aimed at corporate IT departments.

The Lenovo ThinkTab X11 is now available directly through Lenovo’s U.S. online store.

The base configuration with 128GB of storage starts at $499, while the upgraded 256GB model is priced at $579.

Unlike some enterprise hardware products, Lenovo is making the tablet available to both business customers and general consumers.
