The struggle of comedians in the final of “The Smartest Person in the World”: “Give Sondos Al-Ahmadi and Alex Agnew their own show” | The smartest man in the world

televisionAfter the first introduction to her debut film, “The Smartest Human,” Flanders is looking forward to more from Sondos Al Ahmadi. The Dutch comedienne did not disappoint and even picked up the pace in episode eight. This time with Alex Agnew as sidekick. The two turned it into a great duet show full of stand-up comedy, but the sting was in the tail. Suddenly, there seemed to be less laughter, because: “This is a really dirty round.”

Alex Agnew had recovered on Thursday from the avalanche that caused Sondos Al-Ahmadi’s impressive entry the previous day in the ‘Smartest Person’. The comedienne recovered and it came at the right time, as the Dutch appeared to have newcomer Maureen Vanherbergen under her control with ease. He looked determined: “Alex has to be broken, Maureen. Let’s break him.” Also interesting: “I think Maureen is very smart, handsome and attractive. It’s like I’m looking in the mirror.”

Soundos was exactly the same again. Very foul mouthed. When presenter Eric Van Looy grabbed a pickle as an extra tip for asking a question, she muttered: “Is he really going to chew it? I can’t understand him if he doesn’t chew it.”

Also: “People say about children: You get so much from them. Well, I have two children and I am still waiting for them.”

I easily came up with one sentence about absolutely everything: “What a garden house for 10,000 euros? I have to work all day for that.”

Soundos looked like she could easily fill the entire studio with her presence alone, but things turned out differently during the performance. After a short run into the game, it suddenly became clear that he clicked nicely between Soundos and his teammate Alex. It seems that the two comedians made a secret pact and decided to steal the show together. There was laughter, screaming and even dancing.

Newcomer Maureen Vanherberghen has kept calm and collected points in the meantime, so that she has already made good progress just before the start of the photo round. Although Alex and Soundos didn’t make much of a difference in their task, Maureen not only scored 10 out of 10 in that photo round, she also scored very quickly. I scored a lot of points. Although she only had to sing 10 lines of the songs, which is normal for a trained singer. The two comedians didn’t think this was fair. They bitched and complained, albeit in a very funny way, that it was a mistake.

“This round was really bad,” Soundos said.

Alex nodded: “Dirty tour. You feel like they’re tired of you here.”

“Two comedians? Then send one home,” Soundos added.

All with a joke and even a burst of laughter, of course, but in the meantime said gently. Maureen built such a lead on the final lap that that lap became almost unnecessary. The smiley face won comfortably by 226 points. Thus, the episode had to end with a clash of titans. In the final round, Alex did not know all of the daughters of TV personality Kris Jenner, Robert Kardashian’s ex, by name. That gave Soundos the freedom to get a ticket for the next episode and they did. When Eric Van Looy asked her, somewhat unnecessarily, if she would be back on Monday, she seemed dry: “Yes, because that’s contractually specified, right, Eric?” Were we wrong, or did strong Alex suddenly become weak, because little tears seemed to trickle into the corners of Howler’s eyes when Eric told him he would be sent home, but could make it back to the finals. Or was that a speck of dust?
